NEWChase: win a LegendaryTry Chase

Privacy Policy

Effective 7 October 2026

Trove is a location game, but it doesn't track where you are: your explorer moves where you tap on the map, and we never ask for your device's GPS. This policy explains exactly what we do keep, why, and for how long.

1. Who we are

Trove is responsible for the data described here.

2. What we collect

DataWhyHow long
Your wallet address (public key)To sign you in and identify your accountWhile your account exists
Your username, if you set oneShown on leaderboards, live pulls and resultsWhile your account exists
Game activity: crates you open (crate, spirit, the map position of your explorer, time), shards, XP, draw tickets and chase spotsTo run the game, show your collection and count the live statsWhile your account exists
Comments you post on a spirit's pageShown publicly on that pageUntil you delete them or your account
Shop payments: what you bought, the amount, the transaction signature and the paying wallet addressTo confirm the payment on Solana and deliver what you boughtKept as a record; the transfer itself is public on the Solana blockchain
A sign-in challenge (a random value tied to your wallet)To check your signature when you sign inExpires after 10 minutes
A session cookie (trove_session)To keep you signed in30 days, or until you sign out
When you were last activeTo count players online right nowReplaced as you play
Approximate city from your IP address, supplied by our hostTo start the home page map near youNot stored
Your explorer's last map positionSo the map opens where you left offIn your own browser only

We don’t use advertising trackers, we don’t sell your data, and we only ask your wallet for a transaction when you start a Shop payment yourself.

3. What’s public

Your username (or a shortened wallet address if you haven’t set one), the spirits you pull, your XP and rank, and draw and chase results are shown to other players on the site.

4. Who else handles it

  • Vercel hosts the site and sees standard request data, such as your IP address, in its logs.
  • Turso stores the game database.
  • OpenFreeMap serves the map tiles and unpkg serves the map library, so your browser connects to them directly.

5. Your choices

  • You can change your username any time from your profile.
  • You can delete your account from your profile. That removes your wallet address, username, collection, cosmetics and crate history; Shop payments stay only as an anonymous record of the on-chain transfer. Past draw and chase results keep an anonymous entry, so they can still be checked.
  • Clearing your browser storage forgets your explorer’s last position.

6. Changes

If we change this policy we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date.
